1. Christmas Wishes: Though granddaughter to one of the ancient regime, Juneclaire Beaumont lived without complaint as a poor relation at Stanton Hall — until a family crisis sent her packing. But the road to London was not smooth, and she was compelled to take shelter in a stable with a handsome, scowling stranger whose curricle had been held up. A delicate situation, although he behaved in a most gentlemanly fashion. The ton, however, would never believe it of the lordly rakehell Satan St. Cloud! He would preserve this madcap beauty’s reputation…. Damn it, for once duty would be pleasure!
But Juneclaire declined marriage solely for honor. She disappeared, leaving the imperious Earl of St. Cloud to spend the twelve days of Christmas on a neck-or-nothing ride to find her.
2. A Loyal Companion: Fitz (a dog) and his human mistress, Miss Sonia Randolph, grew up on her father’s estate, but when her brother and his new wife come to live there and their father, after years of being a widower, decides to marry, Sonia is sent to London to stay with her grandmother, the Dowager Duchess, Lady Amelia Atterbury. And where Sonia goes, so does Fitz. The Dowager Duchess decides that it is time for Sonia to Come Out and land herself a husband, though she doesn’t think there are any eligible men who will put up with her granddaughter’s hoyden ways. So Fitz takes it upon himself to search London for a suitable mate for his beloved Sonia.
3. Father Christmas: A war hero’s widow had few pleasures, especially when she was living under the miserly auspices of a stern father. But Graceanne had her beautiful three-year-old twin boys and that was joy enough.
Therefore she was shocked by the audacity of the Duke of Ware, who decided he could help himself to one of her babies. He needed an heir and she had a boy to spare. It was appalling! And she told him so with a swift kick to his manly pride.
But it was Christmas, after all, and ’tis the season of forgiveness. The gentleman was a charming rake to be sure, but there was no chance of his claiming her child–or her heart, though she was certain he was conspiring for both …
4.- The Earl and the Heiress: Noell Armstrong’s father had been a delightful rake in his day, but when he died his only legacy was a mountain of debts and a houseful of puppies-the offspring of the exotic dog the Viscount had brought home to his wife during his days with the Foreign Office. Happily, when Noelle inherited her aunt’s townhouse and a bit of money, a London debut was once again a possibility. What better way to attract the attention of the ton than by creating a new rage for delightful little Maltese dogs? Noelle’s puppy ad in the London Gazette brings quick response… from one of London’s most eligible bachelors, the Earl of Wrenthe. And amid a flurry of white fur, spirited sparring and secret capers, the lovely young Noelle quickly wins her entrée to Almacks and to the heart of the Earl as well!
