Overview: Jack Laurence Chalker was an American science fiction author. Chalker was also a Baltimore City Schools history teacher in Maryland for a time. He also was a member of the Washington Science Fiction Association and was involved in the founding of the Baltimore Science Fiction Society.

1. Lilith: A Snake in the Grass (1981)
Somewhere, from among the four human settled worlds of the Warden Diamond, hostile aliens were spying on Earth. But no agent could be sent to investigate and report back. All trips to the Warden worlds were one-way. There a microscopic symbiont called the warden bug invaded all life forms, after which life became impossible outside the Warden system.
That called for extraordinary means, of course. One agent was chosen, then four men were stripped of their minds and personalities, and his was imposed upon them. Hooked up properly, he could then receive their report, without ever leaving safe territory.
On Lilith people with strong wills manifest the ability to sense and communicate directly with the warden bug. These sorcerers or Sorcs have tremendous power and makeup the political spetrum of the planet. Cal Tremon’s mission was Lilith. Assassinate the reining Lord and find evidence of an Alien presence.
2. Cerberus: A Wolf in the Fold (1981)
The Federation’s put their greatest mind, who happen to be male, into the female body of operative Qwin Zhang. Objective – Find the Lord of the planet who is working with the enemy aliens and try to take control. Cereberu’s symbiont threw in a little twist. It makes common the mind exchange of the person you sleep near. Lordship and immortality may make duty to the federation difficult.
3. Charon: A Dragon at the Gate (1982)
This is the third report from the agent imprinted for Charon. A hot hellish world, Charon was a place where magic works and strange beast lurk. Park Lacoch, a small almost elfin man was known on the outside as the "Butcher of Bonhomme". Using Park’s administrative background he planned on infiltrating a group of rebels already intent on deposing the current Lord.
