Overview: Nathan Schachner was born on January 16, 1895 in New York. He was a chemist and lawyer; and, both a fiction and non-fiction author.
Schachner’s first published story was “The Tower of Evil”, written in collaboration with Arthur Leo Zagat and appearing in the Summer 1930 issue of Wonder Stories Quarterly. Schachner was one of Isaac Asimov’s favorite authors.
This collection focuses on the novellas that he published in Astounding Science Fiction magazine, before the legendary editorship of John W. Campbell, Jr.
