#3 – Absaroka Ambush: Preacher, the legendary first mountain man, leads a wagon train of women across the West, fighting off a gang of cutthroats who are operating under the mistaken assumption that the ladies and their belongings are easy pickings.

#16 – Preacher’s Fire: A big city like St Louis is the last place where a mountain man like Preacher would pick a fight. But how else will he get at the ruthless power broker who is using fear and bloodshed to take over the Western fur trade? Shaving his beard, posing as a greedy hayseed from Ohio, the Preacher comes face-to-face with Shad Beaumont – who is leaving St. Louis with an army of hired gunmen…with the Preacher on his tail. The odds couldn’t be worse and the battleground couldn’t be better. For the wild frontier is no place for fancy plots or poor disguises – but a fine spot for a killing ground.

#17 – Preacher’s Assault: The Santé Fe Trail stretches from the Mississippi River to New Mexico Territory through the West’s most savage lands. That’s why a wealthy trader hires the mountain man called Preacher to keep his trade goods safe – and hopefully deliver a flock of pilgrims to a Promised Land. A young prostitute. The spoiled son of the wagon train owner – these are a few of the souls Preacher must protect. But then a rifle goes off at the wrong moment. A towering grizzly bear attacks. And both outlaws and Comanche’s ambush the wagon train. Now, the travelers are surrounded by predators of every shape and stripe. For Preacher, there is only one way to go – straight into the heart of danger, to blaze a killing trail of his own…
