2. Aftermath
When the lights went out, no one was ready. Just days after liberating his hometown from escaped convicts, Sheriff Leland West must travel to Chicago to search for his oldest daughter. If he can find her, his family will finally be safe. Henry, the fugitive who aided Leland against the prisoners, agrees to go if the sheriff promises to help him find his brother along the way. Neither of them anticipates the destruction and chaos the EMP has caused in the Windy City. Riots in the streets. Fires all across the city. Soldiers ordering people back into their homes. 3. Hunted
Henry and his brother, Sam, are in hiding. Ever since Sam discovered the EMP had been detonated by a group that calls themselves the Horsemen, his world has come undone. Sam spends every available moment scouring computer files in Chicago, always praying to find new information that can help him. But the Horsemen are desperate to find Sam and will do anything to keep that information secret. It has been a month since the EMP sent the world into chaos, and Leland West is doing what he can to keep his town and family safe from outsiders. A rival town, desperate for food and medicine, wants what Leland has, and they will do anything to get it. While trying to defend his town and keep Henry and Sam’s location a secret, Leland discovers an assassin looking for the brothers. He just hopes he’s not too late.
4. Retribution
When Leland is given a choice between killing Sam or saving his daughters, the sheriff knows what he has to do.
But he can’t let this new world of chaos change who he is.
Now Leland and his crew must come up with a plan to get his daughters back and strike hard against the Horsemen before they implement their sinister plans that will bring more destruction, and before Leland loses his daughters forever.
