Overview: In Skylar Sinclair’s Faeful a nasty old witch infects 5 babies with her bad unfaeful magic. It looks like Skylar might be writing a book for each of the children. It’s said that on their 30th birthdays the babes will be overcome by the unfaeful magic and cause destruction.
In this book one of the babies, Lee Harrison a human woman is in her late twenties. Philet, a Faeful fairy has been sent to collect her and bring her back to his word. To cure her she must choose a Faeful mate and create a baby. Having a baby with a Faeful husband would cure her of the bad magic. Philet does not see himself as the settling down kind of guy. He’s just not ready for that yet, but fate and fairytales have a way of taking over.
Lee is a strong character who has had some heartache. Lee was in a relationship and marriage. She wanted to have kids so bad, but that just wasn’t in the cards. Her spouse was cheating on her. Even with this hard lesson learned Lee knows that love is still possible, but she is not willing to just fall into Philet’s arms.
Skylar has come up with another wonderful tale of fantasy and love. Lee and Philet were two great characters to meet and they both had interesting lives. I can’t wait to see who the next couple on the love chopping block will be. Skylar has also introduced a third party fairy, Ely Elder that was a really great element as he gave the whole fairy godmother a whole new twist. Maybe a fairy godfather is what we should be looking out for.
