Overview: K.J. Jones subscribes to the Michael Crichton method of fiction writing by using a well-researched, real-world matrix with fictitious surreal events woven carefully in. The reader gets to learn while being entertained. K.J. earned a BA in anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. This was followed by moving to the UK and earning a master’s degree. Writing is a family hobby. Her grandmother, uncle, and mother all tried their hands at writing, but hadn’t pursued it further. After tragedy struck her life, K.J. found solace in writing a novel about what would happen if the zombie apocalypse was real, using people and places she knew from her adventures and travels. One novel turned into a series, and her writing passion began. Her first writing effort was when she was twelve. At age twenty-two, she wrote a novel about future calamity, which has eerily come true. Originally from Long Island, NY, KJ Jones most recently lived in the mountains of West Virginia. In her escape from snow and ice, she now lives in southern Florida, where the weather outside summer is fantastic.
