Overview: As this first issue of the Ericksonian Monographs is published, I know that, were Milton H. Erickson still alive, he would be extremely proud of this achievement. My father enjoyed progress and accomplishments and the rewards of work and effort. The Monographs will serve as a portion of the educational forum of the Milton H. Erickson Foundation, an expansion of the Foundation’s efforts to render information to professionals in a readily accessible manner. This publication will provide an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences relating to the field of Ericksonian hypnosis and family therapy. Finally, my father would have appreciated any effort that furthered the ethical use of his approach.
