Encounter #1 – A brand-new series by Tiny Titans creators Art Baltazar and Franco! Encounter is a new kind of hero; an alien escaped to Earth with pods that will eventually hatch to become his siblings, who can take any form he chooses, and decides to become a hero! With help from his talking dog Barko, he fights crime on our planet. But there is a mysterious figure who will try anything to defeat him. In volume 1, Encounter and Barko must defend the pods from villains such as Gadget Man, Cold Blaze the Thermodynamic Shark, and Ribbon Rhonda. No matter the odds, Encounter will always find a way to save the day!
Encounter #2 – Encounter, Kayla, and Barko are enjoying a nice day of fishing down at the boardwalk, where their only care in the world is choosing between ice cream and barbecue. When suddenly—shark attack! And this is no ordinary great white, it’s Cold Blaze the Thermodynamic Shark, and he’s after the pods! How can our heroes fend off a flying, talking shark that’s half-frozen and half on fire? They’ll have to find a way to mix him up—hot side cold, cold side hot!
Encounter #3 – Who knew ribbons could be a secret weapon? But these aren’t just ribbons; these are electrically charged, telepathic ribbon-tentacles controlled by a fearsome villain dead set on stealing the pods! Could Ribbon Rhonda’s secret ribbon weapon force Encounter to give up the protected pods? Encounter is on the case, but will his laundry-inspired ploy be enough to defeat Rhonda? And even if it does, who is the villain mastermind that sent not one, not two, but THREE villains after his pods? Our favorite superhero and his sidekick Barko are on the case, and they’ll do anything to protect their friends . . . and the pods!
Encounter #4 – Encounter and Barko leave Kayla and the city behind to go camping and get some well-deserved relaxation! However, their rest is interrupted when intergalactic bounty hunters from Myornak come looking for them! Worse still, these hunters are prepared with the perfect tools for capturing our shape-shifting hero! With high-tech cameras and anti-superpower devices, these hunters may be too much for even Encounter! Can Encounter convince the relentless hunters that he’s not a criminal? Or will he finally surrender?
Encounter #5 – Egads! UFOs have come to Earth, and they’re all over the news! Barko and Kayla are ready to protect the city, but Encounter seems reluctant to face them. However, when these spaceships start colliding into buildings, someone MUST do something to keep the people of Earth safe! Can we depend on our yellow and green hero to come save us?
Encounter #6 – Encounter and Barko can defend humanity from the toughest villains, but what happens when they meet . . . another hero?! Never fear, Encounter, Champion is here! This masked defender of justice is eager to help them take down villains, but our heroes aren’t sure if Champion is really friend or foe! And Kayla, the team’s dauntless coach, starts acting all funny with Champion around . . . just what is going on?
Encounter #7 – Champion might be Earth’s newest hero, but Barko is sure he’s a foe in disguise! There’s no time to find out the truth when villain Stare-O, using X-ray vision, goes after the pods. How will Encounter protect his friends from dangerous optic blasts when he doesn’t even know who they are? And what happens when secret identities are revealed?
Encounter #8 – Encounter and Barko are seeing double. Two Kaylas have broken into their home, and their secret identities are out! But how can they tell the real Kayla from the fake? It could be the end for Champion! Game shows aren’t just for TV, and this one is pulling back the curtain on the villain behind it all. Now is the time to tell friend from foe . . . and family?!
Encounter #9 – With Encounter missing and Plagnor underground, Kayla and Barko are trying to save the day with no clue where the villain might strike next. But when Kayla reveals the truth about the pods’ location, Plagnor’s goal is in sight and out of this world. The evil plan is in motion . . . LITERALLY, as the comic shop launches the heroes into the final battle!
Encounter #10 – Plagnor’s plan to steal the pods and invade Earth is just the beginning. Next, he wants to take over Ord, Encounter’s home world! With the power from Encounter’s pods, it looks like nothing can stop him! Trapped in a comic shop hurtling through space, Encounter, Barko, and Kayla must find a way to save not just one world . . . but two!
