Overview: Melodia
When my two best friends and I learn that we have one chance to stop ourselves from becoming full-fledge sirens, we have to take it. We have seven days to find a man and make him fall in love with us—without using our powers to make it happen.
Being in human form is so different than being in the ocean but I love it, especially the food. So after both of my friends seem to have fallen under spells of their own, I find myself alone and heading into a restaurant to try something new. It’s so hard to decide, especially when these men won’t leave me alone. But when a deep voice tells the latest man to get away from me, it wakes something deep within me I never knew existed, and I’m as deep under his spell as my friends were with the men they met earlier.
He’s amazing and I want nothing more than to stay with him forever. But how will he react to learning my secret and is it even possible to get him to fall in love with me in just seven days? I pray to the gods that it is, because I don’t want to leave him—or the delicious food he makes—but more so him.

I was drawn to this seaside town eight years ago, not really understanding why, but the moment I got here, it felt like home, so I stayed. Met two guys who are my best friends now, and run my restaurant, while ignoring all of the women that look my way. I don’t want any of them, so what’s the point in wasting my time even talking to them?
At least that’s how I’ve felt until I see the most gorgeous thing sitting at a table in my restaurant and I know in an instant that she’s mine. The sight of another man near her makes me want to tear them apart, and I waste no time in getting them away from my girl. Melodia is the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen and all I want is to take her home with me, take care of her, and learning she has nowhere to stay tonight, seems to have come from somewhere extremely sheltered has me even more anxious to take care of her for life.
She’s only here for seven days—and one of them is already gone. Is it possible to get her to fall as deeply in love with me as I am with her in that short of a time? Is it too soon to ask her to stay and be mine forever? I don’t know what others might think about it, but I for one, don’t think it is. I just don’t want to run her off—but not telling her I love her gets harder every night. I will make her mine entirely, find a way to keep her. I have to or I might die without her.
