Empty Bodies (Book 1)
When the world falls, who will survive? In a single moment, everything changes. Hundreds of thousands of people suddenly collapse, leaving their friends and loved ones behind, terrified and confused. Moments later, the fallen rise and the survivors become the hunted. Follow three intertwining stories through the apocalypse. Will Kessler works a dead-end warehouse job in Tennessee, driving a forklift and unloading shipping containers. When he wakes up from a nap during his lunch break, he finds most of his co-workers have mutated into monsters, and they have turned the 50,000 square foot building into a war zone, murdering any other survivors. Alone and weaponless, Will must fight through the undead horde to secure the building and answer one question: Is he truly alone? In Texas, Gabriel Alexander boards a plane, thinking he is heading back to his wife and daughter in Washington D.C. After his flight takes off, several passengers fall suddenly ill, sending the cabin into a panic. Soon, the sick passengers go on a rampage, attacking others on the plane, including the pilot. And with no one to fly the plane, it dives toward the ground, taking Gabriel and the start of the apocalypse with it. Jessica Davies runs the front desk of a hotel in the North Carolina mountains. It seems like another dull day of checking tourists into their rooms when she receives a call from a guest to bring them some aspirin. The elevator door opens, forcing Jessica into a hell she could’ve never imagined.
Adaptation (Book 2)
It’s been four days since hundreds of thousands fell, sending the world into a frantic tailspin. With the other survivors at his side, Will is trying to get to Knoxville, where he has reason to believe his parents are, but the changed world and its new race of rabid creatures is doing everything it can to stop him. Meanwhile, David has found refuge in the same hospital as Jessica and Melissa, having barely made it out of the warehouse alive. With everyone doing all they can to stay alive, the two groups are on a collision course that neither of them sees coming.
Deliverance (Book 3)
The group is left trying to pick up the pieces after the brutal actions of David Ellis. Will is an emotional wreck, having seen his mother brutally killed in front of him by one of the creatures. Gabriel is filled with guilt after losing Dylan. And Holly and Marcus are just trying to keep Will stable. Jessica reveals to the group that she knows where David is, having overheard him talking on a radio while she hid in a closet. Gabriel believe it’s the same place Dylan is. With no firearms, the group find themselves in a race against time to arm themselves and get to the farm where they believe Dylan is, before David and Clint bring their fully-loaded forces to the hospital.
Open Roads (Book 4)
After narrowly avoiding tragedy, Will and the others hit the road and head east, looking to get Gabriel and Dylan home, while also hoping to seek refuge in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. But the open roads present a challenge, as the group is low on gas, and has no place to call home. As stress levels rise among them, a divide begins to form. Will wants answers about what happened to him, while Gabriel only wants to get home as fast as possible. And when they encounter a new band of survivors, that divide only widens.
Damnation (Book 5)
A new threat is rising. The campground was supposed to be safe. Now, Will, Holly, and Charlie are left scrambling to save Dylan after he is bit by an Empty. After performing a field amputation, they’re forced to leave the campground and seek out medical attention for the boy, before it’s too late. Home seems closer than ever for Gabriel Alexander, and the path before him is clear. At least until a routine stop at a gas station brings forth a new threat far worse than the undead creatures roaming the highways. Empty Bodies 5: Damnation is the penultimate volume in the Empty Bodies saga.
Revelation (Book 6)
The conclusion to the Empty Bodies post-apocalyptic horror series. Inching ever closer to Gabriel’s home in Alexandria, VA, the group is forced to rest and recover with the doctor, Timothy, and his community of survivors. Holly has been shot, and Gabriel and Jessica are working through their trauma from being imprisoned at the school. Amidst the stress, Will begins making decisions that threaten to tear the group apart. Can he hold it together and get them to Alexandria and, ultimately, to safety? Revelation is the final book in the Empty Bodies Series.
