Heartbroken as she may be, the man who covered her in scars and took her baby is still out there. And if she has nothing else to live for, her will to take the most precious things from him the way he took the most precious things from her is what will keep her going. In the meantime though, she’s going to do whatever she can to make it through the day. She’ll bask in Jeremy’s embrace. She’ll plan that wedding that got put on hold when she was taken. She’ll come to terms with the woman captivity turned her into. She’ll heal. Jeremy though… Those months traumatized him too. After all, he felt every single thing that happened to Laila. He lost his son too. But he’s always been great hiding his pain.
5. Reprisal: Celena’s Story: Part II
It’s been more than a year since Celena and Wyatt left West Virginia. But time hasn’t softened the ruthless Alpha that had her turned against her will. Being held captive by the same man that tortured hundreds of other supernatural creatures, including Jeremy’s brother, Chris. Their relationship may be in turbulence, but they’ve always agreed on one thing. Nothing matters more to either of them than their children. And if anything could bring them back together, it’s this. Together, they’ll find him. And the other hundreds of survivors that lunatic’s holding captive. One day, they’ll bring each and every one of them home.
7. The Acquisition of an Army, Part I
They’ve done it. Laila and Jeremy have released hundreds of innocent supernaturals that Doctor Robert Peterson has been holding hostage. Everyone except the two lives that matter most to both of them. Their son, and Jeremy’s brother. They jumped because they finally had a lead. And they did a wonderful thing; they saved hundreds of lives. But they lost them again. They want to find their son more than anything, but every lead drives them into a dead end. Laila’s five months pregnant. Jeremy’s terrified she’ll lose their daughter. The stress she’s under alone could do that. So together, they decide. It’s time to breathe. Not to give up. No, they’ll never give up. But the next time a lead comes to them, they will have a perfect plan in place. The next time they come face to face with that man, they will get their baby back. But for now… For now, they’re going to make a life worthy of their son. They’re going to build their home. They’re going to enjoy their daughter’s birth the way they should have enjoyed their son’s. And they’re going to start exploring the lives long, long ago that led them to where they are now. They might even take a little trip to the Fae Realm for something they need to explore those past selves.
8. The Acquisition of an Army, Part II
All Laila and Jeremy want is their family together again. And they’re finally going to get it. Laila built an army when she escaped captivity two and a half years ago. It nearly tripled in size when she released the other captives last Christmas. And now, she’s got an idea of how they can return the favor. Micah’s been missing since the day of his birth. But when he appears, only to disappear as quickly as he was taken, Laila and Jeremy start developing a plan. Not like the ones they’ve had in the past. A concrete one, stacked upon back-up plan, upon back-up plan. With the help of all the other races in the supernatural world, including Satan himself, Laila and Jeremy are going to bring their baby home.
