Genre: Paranormal Romance
1. Chilled – The Ithilir people of planet Fora are an insular people by nature. Rumor has it that they are as cold as their planet, as coated with ice and unfeeling as the land they live on. That is rumor, but the nature of them as ruthless, strong warriors is fact. Anyone who thinks to invade their cloistered planet is met with fast and furious battle, and ultimately destroyed. For hundreds of years the Ithilir have kept to themselves, but now their gates are opened.
Why? One word. K’varot. A cruel and evil dictator who has declared war on the ice warriors and anyone he sees as weak enough to conquer. Before he moves to take the ice warriors out, he heads for Earth, planning on wiping out the humans there and using their planet as a place to train his armies. Cullen, one of the younger ice warriors is sent with the rest to Earth to warn them of what’s to come and to protect them.
Never before have the Ithilir concerned themselves with other races, but in order to keep K’varot from taking over their planet and many others, they’ll have to change their ways. It was just supposed to be a simple mission, but Cullen doesn’t expect what he finds on Earth, and he certainly doesn’t expect to be saddled with Sadie, a woman he saves from K’varot’s clutches and ends up taking a liking to, despite the urging of his people and the danger looming over them all.
2. Origins – Thousands of years ago beings who were pure energy existed. They were the world, and of the world, and they held the powers of life. Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, etc., were theirs to call and command, and they kept balance over the universe. But those they watched over became greedy and hungry for power;, and they coveted that which was not theirs to have.
Seeing that things would become ugly otherwise, the beings condensed themselves into solid forms, taking on the shape of gems that contained their power. Each gem found its way to a planet with a ruler who was worthy, and their powers seeped into those planets and the people of them, giving them elemental powers to call their own.
Warriors of these planets use their elements to protect people, though time has passed and the beings have long been forgotten. But once again, greed and hunger are spreading, and a group of dangerous individuals seek to take what isn’t theirs, going planet by planet to try and find the source of the elemental powers and take it for their own.
5. Drenched – In contrast to most of the other elemental warriors, the water loving people of Lin-Vayel are also lovers of peace. They aren’t reclusive, but they don’t value combat the way others do, and they live their lives exploring their planet and others, seeking out knowledge and treasure. Focused on learning more about the ways of those who came before them. Still, their warriors are well trained, and when a cargo ship crash lands on their planet, they’re ready to fight if need be. Fortunately, those piloting the ship are dead, and the cargo is undamaged.
Unfortunately the cargo turns out to be contraband, stolen merchandise, and one human woman by the name of Alanna. There’s much discussion over what should be done with this woman, and eventually it’s decided that one of their strongest and bravest will escort her home. It should be a simple mission: fly to Earth, leave her there, come home, but the growing bond between them makes it hard for either of them to want to say goodbye. That’s the least of their problems when it turns out that Alanna’s crash landing on Luther’s planet was no accident, and was in fact masterminded by someone with a dastardly plan for Luther and his powers.
