Elemental Empire Series by Peter North (1-4)
Requirements: M4B reader, 2.2 Gb
Overview: Peter North has been writing "serious" SF&F adventures for many years, under another name. But there’s only so long a guy can be serious before he starts to go a bit mad.
Genre: Sci-Fi/Fantasy
#1 – Home-Sweet-Home? Not at Pine Ridge trailer park…
My name is Logan Greenwood, and I’d rather be anywhere else.
When I decided to come home to help my mom out of a rough spot, I had no idea how bad it would be.
But when a freak storm kicks up and I literally get sucked into another world, family drama is the least of my worries. I couldn’t get home if I wanted to.
And in this world – full of drop-dead gorgeous elves, nymphs, and dryads – the last thing on my mind is going home.
Only problem is, this perfect world is on the brink of war. As Drakkus, Lord of Chaos, and his minions descend upon my newfound paradise, one thing becomes clear.
Somebody has to stop this guy, and that somebody is me.
#2 – Naiads, nymphs, and sirens… Oh, my!
Drakkus, Lord of Chaos, has failed. His minions have fled the Ring Wood with their tails between their legs. Those that still have tails or legs to carry them, anyway.
And it’s all thanks to me, Logan Greenwood.
Oh, pardon me. In this world, they call me ‘Loghann Grenwyld’ and apparently I’m the only living heir to the Emperor of the Five Realms.
I’ve come a long way from that unhappy, directionless guy I was back at Pine Ridge Trailer Park, and I can’t say it isn’t all a bit surreal. But you can bet I’m going to take full advantage of this strange, magical world I’ve found myself in.
In fact, I’d like nothing more than to relax and enjoy my victory. With a forest full of beautiful elves, nymphs, and dryads and the extremely grateful Priestess Kalia to keep me company, I can think of a few things I’d rather be doing than chasing down minions of chaos.
But while Drakkus plots to spread corruption through the realms and to rob me of my rightful place as the next Emperor, I have no choice but to keep fighting.
I’m off to the Azurian Seas, where I must convince another priestess to join my side. Trouble is, I’m magically bound to keep my true identity a secret and Priestess Cordelia’s handmaidens won’t let me get close enough to speak with her.
Oh, and there’s a massive, tentacled sea-monster on the loose.
#3 – They say a hero is forged in the fires of conflict…
I hope they’re right.
It’s hotter than Hell in the desert of the Silent Sands, and I don’t just mean the climate.
With djinn, fire demons, and a band of nocturnal assassins on my tail, there’s no rest for the weary or the wicked.
Legend says there is an artifact of unfathomable power hidden within the labyrinth in the heart of this desert, and I’ll stop at nothing to claim it for myself.
But I’m not the only one who knows about it. Drakkus, Lord of Chaos, has his eye on the prize, too.
And unless I can get there first, the Empire of the Five Realms will be plunged into darkness and chaos. Forever.
With the help of my band of warrior women, and the magic growing within me, I intend to take the Lord of Chaos head-on.
Our path is fraught with danger, the stakes are higher than they’ve ever been, and there’s only one thing I know for sure…
Failure is not an option.
#4 – Temptation calls from the mists,
And I am powerless to resist…
After our bittersweet victory against Drakkus, Lord of Chaos, we wanted nothing but to leave the desert realm and its cursed Labyrinth behind us. Stepping through a magic portal into the Lucidian Mountain range seemed like the perfect solution.
At first, the cool, swirling mountain mists are a welcome change from the relentless heat of the Silent Sands. Once we make our way to the mountain temple, we will collect the priestesses and their soldiers and make our way to the High Plains to stake my claim as Emperor of the Five Realms. We’re so close I can taste it.
But there is something out there in the mist, hiding just out of sight. Something that doesn’t want us here. It twists our memories and poisons our minds, trying to turn us against one another.
They call this place the Mists of Forgetting. But they should have called it the Mists of Madness.
We can only resist its powers for so long…
And if we fall, the Five Realms will fall with us.
