Overview: Randall Blair is a filmmaker and an Associate Professor of film and video in the School of Communication at American University (Washington, DC). He is also the Program Director of the graduate program Producing Film and Video. At American University, he teaches courses in film production, directing, producing and scriptwriting. Mr. Blair has written two novels, Lovely Rita and Curse of the Nice Guy. He is also the author of a popular college textbook, The Producer’s Sourcebook. He has created award-winning documentaries, short dramatic films and educational/corporate videos. These films have been shown on PBS stations and on television networks in Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary and other countries. His films have been screened in film festivals and film markets including Berlin, Sundance, San Francisco, Aspen, New York Underground, Long Island, Palm Beach, Independent Feature Film, Wine Country and Angelciti. Lovely Rita (#1)
It’s spring 1963 and Clark Westfield, 17, has two unrequited passions –Julie Wells and baseball. Clark is tall, decent looking, smart, and thinks he has it all figured out.
