Overview: Ann Hazelwood is a former 30 yr. Quilt Shop owner from St. Charles, Missouri. She has written a series of Missouri travel books and small gift books for AQS, such as 100 Things You Need to Know if You Own a Quilt and 100 Treats for Quilters.
Ann is an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser and former President of the National Quilt Museum. She lectures on quilt related topics and has exhibited her red and white quilt collection in the National Quilt Museum. She is also the textile appraiser for the Antique Road Show, when in the St. Louis region.

Her life becomes even more embroiled in Borna when she discovers a mysterious quilt in her new home. Haunted by the quilt’s past, Kate is also troubled by several terrifying occurrences. Somebody wants to take the property from her. Will Kate let their horrifying tactics run her out, or will she stand her ground?
#2 – Josephine’s Guest House Quilt
Kate Meyr continues to be charmed by the beauty of Borna, Missouri. Now, after encouragement from her friends Clark and Ellie, she decides to turn her home into a guesthouse, which East Perry County desperately needs. Wanting to acknowledge Dr. Paulson and his wife, Josephine, whose spirit still haunts the home, she names her new business Josephine’s Guest House. Kate also commissions a quilt to be made by her friend Ruth Ann to hang in the entry hall for guests to sign. Everything seems to be coming together and guests are intrigued by Josephine’s presence, but why do some of the guests’ names disappear from the signature quilt and some remain?
#3 – Quilt the Town Christmas
Kate Meyr has settled into a pleasant life in Borna, Missouri and is adjusting to the challenges of becoming an innkeeper. Thankfully, the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays bring both friends and relatives to the guest house, including Aunt Mandy and Jack, who both make life-altering decisions. All the while, troubling events occur on the property, making it clear that there are those who do not welcome the energetic Kate. Kate meets the challenge head on and spearheads an effort to bring the spirit of Christmas to everyone in the community. But when the holidays are over, what choices will Kate face with Clark and John?
#4 – Everlasting Quilts
Complicated and confusing romance continues for Josephine’s Guest House proprietor Kate Meyr. John Baker—Kate’s lake house neighbor, a writer, and wannabe lover—intrigues Kate with his research on quilts for a magazine article. In the process, she discovers unusual destinations for quilts, even in her own family. These stories are precious and everlasting.
But not all is precious in Borna as Kate faces a fight for her life in her beloved home. Thanks to the spirit of Josephine and a handsome new acquaintance, Kate is able to persevere. Once again Kate must keep another secret from her community as she continues to protect her guest house’s reputation.
#5 – Church Ladies Quilts
For generations ladies have gathered at churches to quilt and bring income to their treasury. In Church Ladies’ Quilts, the fifth and final novel in the East Perry County series, Kate Meyr’s love for quilts convinces her to join the quilters at Concordia Lutheran Church in Borna. The ritual of their practices amuses Kate as she observes their diverse personalities. It doesn’t take long until a mystery surfaces of a missing quilt. The pastor, who is dearly admired by the ladies, tries to keep the story quiet for the church’s reputation. In the meantime, Kate’s friendship with Clark is turned upside down, and a new relationship appears along with a red Jeep. Finally, Kate’s research on Josephine is rewarded by her discovery of who has been putting yellow roses on her grave.
