1. Dragon Lost – I’m Aodan. A thief. A really good thief.
My best friend Margrite and I are nearly out of this crappy city. With this last job, we’ll have enough to disappear on an island somewhere. We’re so close I can practically smell the rum drinks.
But then all hell breaks loose when I wake up as a dragon. You know, teeth, claws, blue scales, furniture exploding under my massive form. The feeling of smoke is a permanent fixture in my throat. The dragon appears when it wants to, and I black out.
I don’t have time for this.
To add to all this drama, I think someone is trying to kill me. My home is gone. I have nowhere to hide while I sleep off the crazy dragon hangover that comes after each appearance of the beast. As if the dragon scales weren’t enough, I’m now plagued by this new voice in my head – some annoying guy wanting to talk, and meet, and who knows what else? All I want is for me and my best friend to get out of town alive.
If I could stop sprouting a tail at inappropriate times, that would be pretty great too.
2. Dragon Found – Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.
I thought when I put my thieving ways behind me, things would get easier. Not so much.
Like everything that’s happened since I stole the portal to the Fae Realm, nothing is going right. I’ve gotten the whole ‘sprouting a tale at inappropriate times’ under control, even though my dragon still intrudes in my head whenever it wants. The plans I had with Margrite to skip town went up like the flames from a thousand dragons; I’m magically tied to this crappy city.
Eilor, the ousted Dragon King who refuses to stay in exile, seems unable to drop his quest to get his hands on some dragon blood. This time, his evil plans have landed on one of my dragon family, and like everything that guy does, it’s life or death.
While I’ve got the shifting under control, the dragon magic seems to have a mind of its own. The scales and the tail were easier. Now if only I could stop Eilor in his latest scheme to put an end to my entire dragon clan.
