1. The Dragon’s Redemption– Alicia Lehmann’s life is not what she had hoped it would be– but then again, whose is?
Having pursued a fine arts degree in hopes of one day becoming a wildlife photographer, she finds herself instead working as a paparazzo of all things– an occupation she herself considers to be the lowest of the low on this earth. It pays well, but that’s about it.
She feels gross about what she does, stalking celebrities and invading their personal lives just to be able to pay her bills. And although it does allow her to flex her muscles as a photographer, forcing her into difficult positions and requiring creative solutions to the problems she faces, she decides one day that it’s time for a change.
Not sure which part of her life will give most easily– the job she hates, or the boyfriend she doesn’t love and who she’s sure is cheating on her– she decides to go out camping alone one weekend. While she’s there, she plans to work on honing her wildlife photography skills, bulking up her portfolio in the process, in the hopes that it may lead her to the better life she’s been hoping for.
But if change is what she came out searching for, nothing could have prepared her for the absolutely seismic shift in her life that’s about to take place…
While she’s out vigilantly following a deer’s tracks across the forest floor, hoping for a closeup, Alicia has a close encounter with a beast of an entirely different nature– one which, before now, she wasn’t entirely sure existed.
Humongous, bat like wings, a tail like that of the most powerful serpent, and the body of a dinosaur. All wrapped up in one unbelievable package– a dragon, that most fearsome of mythical creatures, believed to be nothing but a rumor or, at the very least, disappeared so long from the annals of time that the very sight of it leaves her wondering if it’s all a dream.
And that’s not even the strangest part of it…
For the creature overhead, racing through the air, dipping and diving through the clouds, is not only a dragon. But a man. A Prince.
Prince Nol, of the disgraced dragon family known as The Protectors.
The youngest of three brothers, Nol begrudges his family’s subservience at the hands of The Dark Ones– the dominant group of dragonshifters in the region, who stole away The Protectors’ throne decades ago.
Between being treated like filth by the Dark Ones, and being forced to disguise his true identity from the humans that surround him, he feels trapped in a hopeless existence. It is thus, despite strict warnings from The Dark Ones not to risk human exposure to their world, that he goes out flying on the night in question– wholly unsuspecting of the consequences that will arise from the human with her camera pointed up at the sky, and the gravity of their two very different worlds colliding…

2. The Dragon’s Engagement– There’s something missing in Endia’s life.
Princess of the Earth Dragons, and due to inherit her aging father’s throne when the time eventually comes, she finds herself in one of the highest and most enviable positions throughout the entire kingdom. Her people, however, are struggling. Just barely hanging on into the modern age, thanks to numerous intrusions on the part of the surrounding human population, driving them into a life of complete secrecy.
She doesn’t know what kind of future she can possibly hope to guarantee for them– or, for that matter, what kind of a future she can possibly hope for herself.
For Endia is engaged to be married, to one of the most powerful warriors among the kingdom of Earth Dragons– a fierce dragon shifter by the name of Baill, the son of one of her father’s oldest friends. Their union, she knows, is designed to reinforce the unity of the Earth Dragons, ensuring the steady continuation of strong leadership well into the future. Baill, however, is about as opposite from Endia as night from day.
Short-tempered and violent, with a passionate hatred toward the human race, Baill has long viewed Endia’s father as a stumbling block to their people. A weak and ineffective leader, whose mysticism and ideology of peaceful coexistence are sure to be buried with the King, forgotten to history the moment Baill eventually takes over.
Endia harbors no love whatsoever to Baill in her heart, but is resigned to going through with the marriage anyway, as per her father’s wishes.
Things get especially heated between the two of them one night, when she and Baill are out walking, and find themselves held at gunpoint, by a common human thief. Endia, with the best interests of her people in mind, peaceably surrenders to the thief, giving him what he wants, in the hope of avoiding a violent scene. Baill, however, quickly flies off of the handle, transforming into his dragon form, and setting their attacker on fire, leaving Endia to save him and clean up Baill’s mess.
Furious, and feeling absolutely hopeless about her future, Endia later storms off, unable to stand being in Baill’s presence, and desperately in need of a drink.
Meanwhile, not at all far from the incident in question, a dragon shifter from another tribe sits watching his infant nephew, clumsily stretching his wings and learning how to fly.
Fri hails from a nearly extinct race known as the Protectors. He, his brother, and his human sister-in-law recently moved out west to escape persecution, from a merciless tribe of dragon shifters known as the Dark Ones.
Though glad for his younger brother’s newfound happiness, Fri finds himself missing the company of his own kind, and mourns the possibility of ever being able to have a proper family.
Depressed, and needing to get his mind off of things, Fri decides to head out for a drink– and by sheer coincidence, happens to wind up at the exact same bar as Endia.
The two dragon shifters, despite being from very different backgrounds, instantly recognize one another for what they are– and just as instant is their mutual attraction to one another, as deep and as all-consuming as anything they’ve ever felt.
But with Endia engaged to be married to a fierce warrior, and the fate of their kind hanging in the balance, can either of them possibly even think to act on their desires? Or will the dangers of doing so prove far too great for them to overcome?

3. The Dragon’s Kingdom – Try as he might, Ynder simply can’t escape the ghosts of his past.
The eldest son of a King, and the rightful heir to his father’s throne, Ynder’s life was changed forever at the young age of twelve. Having struggled for some time against the influence of a rival dragon shifter named Ryl, as well as his army of servants known as the Dark Ones, Ynder’s father Alza decides at last to confront the problem head on. He challenges Ryl to a battle for dominance, for control over his noble Kingdom, a race of dragons then known as the Protectors.
A young Ynder looks on, hopeful, certain that good will prevail in the end, that his father will come out victorious, and that peace and harmony among his father’s kingdom will be restored.
Instead, he watches helplessly, as his father is brutally murdered, right before his very eyes.
Twenty years have passed since that horrible night, but Ynder’s wounds are still as fresh as they’ve ever been.
Ynder and his brothers, Fri and Nol, have spent the ensuing decades subjected to mistreatment and abuse at the hands of Ryl and his Dark Ones, but at Ynder’s insistence, they’ve never before now lifted a finger of resistance against their oppressor– at least, not until recently.
Still traumatized by his father’s death, and his own helplessness to stop it, Ynder can’t help but begrudge his younger brothers for their recent departure from the kingdom, leaving a path of destruction and chaos in their wake, and leaving himself to suffer the full brunt of Ryl’s wrath.
He’s even more furious, then, when the two brothers return to him after two years’ absence, asking him to lead them in a rebellion against the Dark Ones, alongside a group of allied dragon shifters, known as the Earthdragons.
Furious at their nerve and with no desire to risk his neck for a lost cause, Ynder throws his guests unceremoniously out of the house for the suggestion– though not before Ryl and his Dark Ones manage to catch wind of the rendezvous.
The illicit King’s patience with Ynder at last reaching its limits, Ynder finds himself ambushed, attacked and overpowered by two Dark Ones, brought to within an inch of his life at their hands.
His broken body lands in the middle of the highway, and is promptly discovered by an alarmed, yet duty bound nurse– a human female named Penny.
Unlucky in love and with a traumatic past of her own to contend with, Penny discovers a renewed sense of purpose in caring for her curious new charge.
There is an instant, undeniable attraction between the two of them once Ynder awakes– an attraction which neither of them can deny for long, and which seems to give both of their lives a much needed semblance of meaning.
But will Ynder’s past, and the Dark Ones’ vendetta, end up endangering Penny’s life, as well as his own? Or will the two of them finally manage to set aside their devastating histories, and learn to embrace their true destinies at last?
