Overview: Mary Gillgannon ~ I especially enjoy writing about the dark age and medieval time periods, and I have a passion for all things Celtic. The reason for that became clear to me when I came upon a letter written by my great-grandfather. In it he explains that his family (the Logans) were druids and the family name came from a sacred hanging stone off the coast of Cornwall. Well, of course—I was obviously a Celtic priestess in another life!
When I’m not working or writing I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with my family and pets (a dog and four cats) and gardening.
Genre: Historical Romance

Dragon of the Island: Maelgwn the Great is the Dragon of the Island, a Welsh warlord who has been rampaging through the British countryside with his invincible army.
Aurora is the princess of the Roman outpost, Viroconium, who offers herself to Maelgwn in exchange for sparing her city.
Independent, intelligent, and used to getting their own way, Aurora and Maelgwn are thrust together by circumstance—and by an attraction both physical and emotional. Beset by enemies, divided by treachery, they’re epic characters in a love story that will take your breath away.

Dragon’s Dream: It is the sixth century A.D. Maelgwn, the Dragon of the Island, is celebrated for his feats of heroism. But now he has been defeated: The tragic loss of his beloved Aurora has left him grieving and alone. But Maelgwn has a duty to his people—and his realm. As the king, he is expected to marry again. What begins as a political union with a red-headed Celtic princess rapidly becomes much more. Possessed of mystical powers, beautiful, sensuous Rhiannon tempts him beyond reason . . . and adores him beyond measure. In her tender arms, Maelgwn’s sorrowing heart begins to heal. But treachery is never far from the royal throne, and, soon, Maelgwn must fight as he has never fought before—to save his honor, his sons, and the woman he never dreamed he could love . . .
