Overview: From 2007, this out-of-print Brandstudio hardcover was the first published collection of William Wray’s fine art paintings. His paintings of urban Los Angeles cityscapes and scenes have since been published by IDW Publishing and Ashley Wood’s 3A Publishing.
Wray has lived in California most of his life and studied painting at the Art Students League in New York City. Making his living as a cartoonist who specialized in painted subjects, comics and animation, he spent many years coalescing an eclectic array of art styles, ultimately finding his voice in a contemporized reflection of traditional California regional painting that focus on humble subject matter rarely considered as fine art.
