Overview: When the first Mars landing took place in 2045, it was crowned as the finest achievement in the history of mankind. This new world was unlike anything Columbus, Vespucci or Galileo had discovered. Even though we had seen video and pictures of this place, having humans on its surface made it real. At the time of the first moon landing, some people of the day were unsettled by the event. The mars landing of 2045 was expected and acknowledged in such a manner. The question was not how we got there; it was when would I go there. The answer to that question began with the first colony in 2060.
