It’s not easy writing in the shadow of these guys, they’re big mofos. And their characters are even bigger targets thanks to their moral righteousness. But I had my car broken into. Got it fingerprinted. Didn’t find the suckers, and so I turned to writing crime fiction. It’s not about the dames, it’s about the principles. So if you’re feeling principled, and in need of a drink and a good book. And if you love Patterson, Child and McKinty, then try the Jack Maksim thriller’s on for size.
