Overview: Greg Stolze (born 1970) is an American novelist and writer, whose work has mainly focused on properties derived from role-playing games. Stolze has contributed to numerous role-playing game books for White Wolf Game Studio and Atlas Games, including Demon: the Fallen. Some of Stolze’s recent work has been self-published using the "ransom method", whereby the game is only released when enough potential buyers have contributed enough money to reach a threshold set by the author. Together with John Tynes he created and wrote the role-playing game Unknown Armies, published by Atlas Games. He has also co-written the free game NEMESIS, which uses the One-Roll Engine presented in Godlike and the so called Madness Meter derived from Unknown Armies.
Genre: Fiction > Fantasy
Ashes and Angel Wings (#1)
The gates of Hell have been broken and the demons have escaped to travel the Earth dressed in human flesh. When the ancient Azote Hasmed finds himself in the body of the loser Harvey Ciullo, he discovers that the world is a very different place than he expected. Using his demonic will, he begins to break through the low funds of New Jersey, determined to make it his own. The angelic host that has held him captive for eons seems to have vanished, but instead there are other demons on the ground and willing to fight. And in the meantime, this hardened son of the Abyss cannot completely shake off the affection he feels for Harvey’s daughter, a feeling that could redeem his soul or destroy him forever.
The Seven Deadlies (#2)
Love sin, hate the sinner. Gaviel, an affable demon who managed to flee from Hell, finds himself in the shoes of Noah Wallace, son and, apparently, heir of a wealthy telepredicator. A perfect cover for a demon who wants to make his way! However, not everything happens as planned. The upset demon Avitu tries to recruit Gaviel, while the only yearning for the vengeful angel Usiel is to send him back to Hell. And at the same time, the spirit of Noah Wallace demands that his body be returned and becomes a little stronger every day. In the end, even a devil ends up paying off his debts.
The Wreckage of Paradise (#3)
Sabriel, seductive fallen angel that she is, has been playing games with the souls of mortals and devils alike. The demons Hasmed and Usiel have both felt the sting of her tender mercies, but now they may be her only hope of staving off an apocalypse. The ancient creature called Avitu has decided that humanity, demons, and all the universe want nothing more than oblivion. Can Sabriel prove it wrong? Does she even want to?
