    Issue #01 NYC Nov. 1, 2003. The debut issue follows Marie, a teenage girl with a nasty case of telekinesis. Kept under control by heavy mood stabilizers and an oppressive mother, she escapes the suburbs with her boyfriend Mike for New York City and the freedom and happiness it brings her.
    Issue #02 Emmy Dec. 1, 2003. If your words had the power that Emmy’s has, you’d stay mute too. But sooner or later you have to say something, and what happens when you say the right thing to the wrong person? Set in a sleepy rural community, the relative peace is shattered by a shy girl who never meant anyone any harm.
    Issue #03 Bad Blood Jan. 1, 2004. An estranged family is brought together by a funeral, and bitter and angry Samantha Hurley confronts her half-brother about past wrongs, and in the process finds out something wonderful and unexpected about the family genes she carries.     Issue #04 Stand Strong Feb. 1, 2004. "Stand Strong", James McMurray is a proud factory worker, whose uncomfortable size and strength finds himself easily taken advantage of. When he has to choose between family traditions and his manipulative friends, he finds his strength and power come in handy for once.
    Issue #05 Girl You Want March 1, 2004. In this issue, "Girl You Want," we’ve got perception, identity, projection, and reality. Are you the same person to others that you are when you look in the mirror? Kate isn’t. In fact, she is whatever someone wants her to be, whether she likes it or not. With everyone so quick to jump to conclusions based on appearances, how will anyone ever know the real Kate? The latest stand-alone story from the creator of Marvel’s Nyx, about people struggling to come to terms with the super-powers with which they’re burdened.
    Issue #06 What You Wish For April 1, 2004. Hate and fear can cause someone to do just about anything… inflict pain, damage, chaos, and death. The same can also be said for the reaction to this sort of hate, as one small boy finds out when his pet dog is killed and he lashes out at the persons responsible: in this case the entire population of his community!     Issue #07 One Shot, Don’t Miss June 1, 2004. Echoing current events, this issue puts us in the boots of John Hatfield, a poor kid who enlists in the army for college tuition. It’s the only option for kids where he’s from, to have anything that even resembles a future. But when war breaks out and he’s shipped overseas, his natural talent to never miss his target becomes his curse… because Johnny just doesn’t want to shoot anyone. Torn between doing his duty, and killing, and living with his conscience, or to be court-martialed and lose his best chance to provide for himself and his family, John’s story isn’t over when you come to the last page.
    Issue #08 Mixtape July 1, 2004. Waking up one morning to find his girlfriend dead, Nick listens to the mix tape she left for him and is compelled to follow its specific and sometimes bizarre instructions. In the process of fulfilling his girlfriend’s last wishes, he finds out more than he expected about her life, and his own.
    Issue #09 Breaking Up Aug. 1, 2004. Heart breaks… Pains.. Sorrows..
    Issue #10 Damaged Sept. 1, 2004. A successful big city businessman becomes obsessed with the panhandler on his corner, a sort of self-professed "street prophet." After one or two lucky predictions, the businessman is drawn into the crazy lies and dysfunction of the panhandler and turns his yuppie life upside-down looking for something meaningful to hold on to.
    Issue #11 Midnight to Six Oct. 1, 2004. Remember the days when you could slack off all the time, and you were really good at it? Two supermarket employees spend the night shift trying to convince a third that the slacker’s life is the life for them, and his dreams to, gasp!, leave them to attend college, are just a waste of time.
    Issue #12 Mon Dernier Jour Avec Toi Nov. 1, 2004. "Mon Dernier Jour Avec Toi" is translated as "My Last Day With You." A young couple, forced apart by their own respective demons, make their last night together as memorable as possible. This final issue of the critically-acclaimed Demo also includes a special ten- page backup story as an end-of-series bonus, with the creative roles reversed: Becky Cloonan writing the tale with Brian Wood on art, and featuring the return of the characters Marie and Mike from Demo #1!
