Overview: Derek is a huge fan of the Grindhouse and Direct to VHS horror and action titles of the 70s and 80s, and it really shows in his writing. His first series, The Grindhouse Chronicles, is filled with unique heroes, over the top action, and terrifying villains. The books take after the old Pulp Novel series from the 50’s and 60s like Doc Savage. Short, action packed, and exist within a connected universe.
