Overview: Adam Watson was born on the 9th Oct, 1975 in the small industrial town of Whyalla, Australia – a town known for its steelworks. As a child Adam was bombarded by fantasy from all directions. Books, figurines, cartoons and even board games and by the time he had finished high school he had progressed to computer games, books and movies. Adam was about twenty when he finished his apprenticeship as a Metal Fabrication Engineer, and was busy working on projects at the steelworks when he decided he needed to do something more creative. Having already written several movie scripts, he packed everything he owned into his car and moved to the city to pursue a career in film-making.

The stone-walled city of Candelier is under attack, most of its population has been decimated, and now roving patrols of Drakhar are slaughtering the survivors. With the rest of the garrison dead, the task of protecting the Oracle has fallen to veteran soldier, Dray Amora.
After fighting their way to the city gates, Dray and the Oracle realise that escaping the city will be far more difficult than they had first imagined. The gates are shut tight, all escape has been cut off, and the city guards are killing anyone who comes near – friend or foe.
As they search for an alternate way out, the mystery of who attacked the city and why begins to unravel. Dray realises that the Oracle is far more important than he first thought and that her divine powers could be the key to saving humanity from destruction.
Meanwhile, the Drakhar General who led the attack on the city, Vuko Vlad, begins a desperate quest to capture the Oracle. He has learnt that only she has the power to unlock the bonds that have bound the Drakhar’s King-Priest for centuries, and that only she can enable the Drakhar race to awaken their god and invoke it’s power. Vuko knows that without such power, the extinction of his race is imminent.
With the Oracle being the key element to the survival of both races, the battle between light and dark reaches fever pitch – both sides know they will never have peace until the other has been eradicated.

Dray opened his eyes. What in the Seventh Hell is that noise? He was laying with his head on his desk having fallen asleep whilst brushing up on Greevs Leet’s ‘War Tactics.’ He took a deep breath and rubbed his temples. If those doglovers are play-fighting in the corridor again …
It had happened many times before – his fellow soldier’s mucking around in the corridor and waking him from his sleep. If they were at it again, there was going to be trouble.
Dray turned his head towards the door, he could hear banging and yelling. What the fuck are they doing out there? More banging and yelling. He stood up irritated, and the stool sprawled to the floor – his muscles rippled in the moonlight as his rage built. By the gods, I’m going to give them a piece of my mind, he thought and quickly strode towards the door.

It had been two and a half months since that fateful night when the two brothers had found themselves reading King Aurien’s ‘Call to Arms’ in Greegan’s bedroom, but now they were finally on their way to Amalicia City.
It had taken quite a while for the brothers to convince their parents to let them go. It had entailed many weeks of Aiden being exceptionally nice, sucking up and sometimes even begging. Greegan, on the other hand, had a different approach to the situation. It involved yelling, screaming and smashing up the place – that had led him to almost coming to blows with his father.
In the end, it was only after they both simply told their parents that they were going to Amalicia City whether they liked it not, that their mother and father quite happily agreed and let them go – it was as if they had been waiting for the grown-up approach all along.
