There are thousands of horror writers, many better than I. The tales of horror I’ve imagined are about the anxieties that keep me awake at night; the dregs of society that terrify me to no end: Careless thrill-seekers, awakening the anger of a desperate vampire on an eternal search for her lost baby; a teenaged girl bullied into a world of extreme violence by her mother, teachers and peers because of sex, and her appearance; a boy abused to the point that he travels deep into an untapped part of his mind to find a supernatural weapon to use against his oppressors; a twisted doctor living a double life as both male and female, yet ultimately only a killer; an outcast, whose occupation provides the perfect cover for recurring murderous acts; and a demon that uses fear to lure his victims into the chasm of death. To me, the world is darker than black, because reality provides us with worse monsters than fiction ever could. A welcome respite to the darkness of humanity is what my collection of short horror tales hopes to deliver. Entertainment, not from the cruelty it describes, but rather, from the possibility of redemption, escape or hastening the inevitable allure of death. Go on. Feed your Fears
