Kissing Darkness (#5)
Isra now walks in the shadows since giving her heart up to the darkness. She finds herself gloating when Everilda shows up but Everilda has her own journey of darkness unbeknownst to Isra when the demonic sorceress Rhiannon reveals a secret that could tear Everilda’s world apart.
Astrid has witnessed Isra’s transition and is still keeping a friendly eye on her. Astrid eavesdrops on a private conversation between James and Samuel and is furious upon hearing that James has been given the role to befriend Isra. More importantly, James and Samuel have elaborately set it up so that Isra will be residing in a secluded fortress where they can safely keep watch on her. However, Isra is reluctant despite Samuel’s beautifully concocted plan.
Samuel the light-bringer has got his own ideas in mind for Isra when he comes down in person to speak with her. He introduces himself to Isra as a being of the light and gives her what he believes is an appealing alternative but will his soft approach work with Isra’s rigid heart?
Astrid rebels against Samuel’s authority and meets up with Isra only now he’s in a very handsome human form thanks to the demoness Rhiannon. For the first time ever Astrid is able to get close to Isra in any way that he pleases but Astrid has something more sinister in mind for the dark sorceress. Astrid wants to unleash Isra’s full potential. He’s priming her for darkness. To ensure she becomes the destructive force that everyone has proclaimed her to be.
Now Samuel must get to Isra and Astrid in time before all hell breaks loose. And literally, since Astrid offers Isra the opportunity to be herself by offering the potent powerful magics that she once held claim to until Samuel had taken it away from her when they had first met.

Seducing Darkness (#6)
Isra has come of age at nineteen. Astrid has been banished from Shambre Fell and is destined to remain as a raven for all eternity, but little do the light folk know he’s still keeping a close eye on Isra.
Isra meets the enchanting lovable rogue Alan in Immortal Yonder. Alan and Isra have an instant rapport. Alan is deeply attracted to Isra. He’s fascinated by her beauty and that sweet innocence and is aware that she’s a powerful sorceress, despite what she believes about herself. However, Astrid is watching this blossoming romance from afar. He’s concerned for Isra’s welfare.
Samuel Reynaldi is trying to put the whole mess behind him since he disarmed Isra, insisting that Astrid and Isra’s alliance is dead even he hears of Isra becoming close to troubled warlock Alan Grimsbane. His long-suffering aide James hints that Astrid may not be completely gone for good. "Well, we can’t just bury our heads in the sand. Just because Astrid has vamoosed doesn’t mean everything is hunky dory."
This provokes a violent outburst from Samuel who insists it is done and to leave it be, “Astrid is gone. He’s never coming back. Now let that be an end to it all."
But when Alan cruelly ditches Isra insisting their romance was nothing but a mere infatuation Isra vows revenge and she’ll do whatever it takes to get it. Especially since she discovers he’s linked to her long-time nemesis Everilda Daughtry which only inflames the existing feud between them.
Astrid faces a tough dilemma. Does he come back to Shambre Fell risking further punishment as Samuel had ordered him to stay away from Isra or does he sit on his perch and do nothing?
Astrid makes it his business to intervene but he’s still stuck in his raven form. While he’s on his way back to her, Alan Grimsbane mysteriously turns up to Shambre Fell unannounced, letting slip a secret that sends Isra reeling. She’s furious. Now she’s really tipping over the edge. Can Astrid get to Isra before she wreaks havoc upon the desperate warlock who is now facing her wrath?
Queen of Darkness (#7)
Lady Isra has attained her title "Lady Isra of The Dark" as prophesied by "on high" many years ago. Not only that, but Wretchenheart has a new queen. Some might say it was fate. Others would argue it was going to commence because of her taking out Alan Grimsbane. Either way, Lady Isra has become the fearless creature everybody proclaimed her to be which only infuriates the light-bringer Samuel Reynaldi who is furious.
"So she’s taken Grimsbane out of the picture eh? Danced with the darkness. Crushed her enemies. She’s now ruling a demon dimension with Astrid? An impressive resume for a nineteen-year-old and tell me again why you couldn’t stop her?? Bloody useless, the lot of you."
Astrid has taken his rightful place by Lady Isra’s side. He and Isra are impenetrable against the light which proves challenging for Samuel. Since he has the vengeful Grimsbane family are demanding to know why Isra was able to take down their wayward son Alan.
But when Isra’s true lineage is revealed, conflict emerges between the two famous warring witch families, which puts Samuel on incredibly shaky ground. Fearing he might lose his position as a light-bringer, he’s got to play it carefully. Trying to convince a young witch to find the light again wasn’t as backbreaking, but now he’s got to overthrow one of the greatest sorceresses Wretchenheart has ever known. Or face the consequences, since he was in charge of Isra.
Astrid is a powerful warlock. Together, he and Isra are a force to be reckoned with. Many have neglected to recall that Astrid’s humble origins began in darkness. Now he’s back by her side, he’ll stop at nothing to keep her safe.
So what happens when the plucky light-bringer Samuel haphazardly stumbles upon a plan that is forbidden but could vanquish Lady Isra of the Dark for good? Only one thing is certain. Nothing is set in stone when darkness is at the forefront.
