1. Dark Sculptor – James Cook just wanted to finish out his residency at Johns Hopkins so he could go into medical research. He was a genius, and had a quite intuitive knack for diagnosis, but his true dream was to create new cures for diseases and conditions.
All that would change for him, when he wakes up on a stone floor, in a different world. One filled with dark and evil dangers, and magic. A world filled with humans, elves, and goblinoid races. He discovers he has a rare type of magic, that puts a big old target on his back.
He was a man of peace, a compassionate healer and physician, how could he possibly survive this dark and savage new world without justice?
2. Rebel City – James Cook found a new world he might just be able to call home, and he had very good company to share it with. He was fairly sure he wouldn’t even entertain the idea of going back to Earth, even if it was possible.
Well, he’d have a good life, if the city of Eastguard doesn’t tear itself apart from the inside. Or if the king doesn’t have him assassinated, or if the king’s army doesn’t raze Eastguard to the ground with him in it.
James has more than a few challenges to face, including some he doesn’t know about or even suspect yet, if he’s going to claim the life he wants, with the women he loves.
3. Mage Queen – James Cook is the last Flesh Sculptor on his new world.
Things seemed to have worked out for him and his two mates. Though Karana turned from him things seemed to be going well, and at least they’re on good terms. Him and his mates are building a new home, and the three of them all have a good future partially mapped out.
It’s not all peaches and cream. They’re still awaiting word from Malburn on the success or failure of Queen Sera’s invasion. When word of those results do arrive, they come with a few surprises. He has no choice but to do what his conscience dictates, something he never thought he’d do, return to Malburn.
James is going to have to face something far scarier than simple assassins, or armies, he has to face a queen. What did she want, and would he be able to give it to her? It was foolhardy and dangerous to say no to a queen, but he couldn’t, wouldn’t, violate his oath.
4. The Great Forest: Laya – James Cook is the last Flesh Sculptor on his new world, but that’s going to change. If he can survive long enough to open a school.
The mission to Malburn was a success, and he’d not only won Karana’s heart, but he’d been forced into an arranged marriage. Things seemed to be going well there, but his young wife is still holding secrets, and those secrets will be rather shocking.
There’s a lot going on, and there’s a lot for him to do before he can comfortably settle down with his four mates and Oceana. Return the sixteen elves, deal with the council, finish his home, start a school, and a family. Not to mention all his mates’ ambitions. But if that wasn’t enough, he’s about to get another surprise, one unrelated to the wife he hardly knows, and is unprecedented. An invitation to visit both Lelmalond and Amathyr.
Now all he needs to do is survive, The Great Forest: Laya.
