Overview: Jeffrey Eaton was born to parents who met in Los Angeles, where his father was dancing in the 1940 movie musical, “Too Many Girls”. During the filming, his father cavorted on the set with the soon-to-be-discovered actor Van Johnson, and his mother chatted off the set with the soon-to-become famous Lucille Ball.
Eaton was raised in Kansas. In first grade he and an artistic classmate wrote a letter to Dr. Seuss offering to help the renowned author create his next book, a book Eaton had already given the title, “There’s A Moose on the Loose on the Chickanoose Trail.”

#1 – Murder Becomes Manhattan
A socialite is found strangled to death in an abandoned storage closet deep within one of Manhattan’s grand hotels. The young woman’s murder sets the authorities on edge, but their sentiment shifts from concern to alarm when they spot a familiar calling card on her corpse. The note confirms a sinister cult subdued many years ago is ramping up its crusade to crush the free world from within.
Enter Dalton Lee, head of The Lee Group, one of the world’s premier architectural firms. While studying at Cambridge many years ago, Lee helped bring the anarchists to their knees when he deduced who among their ranks had assassinated a congresswoman. Now that the group is intensifying its insurrection, the authorities recruit Lee to assist them again, knowing he and his associates all now have a personal motive for finding the killer.
A peculiar doorknob, a devious clergyman, a mysterious loft and more than one case of mistaken identity complicate the team’s efforts to determine just who murdered the socialite and why. And the more people they interview, the more suspects they expose.
But just when the team is about to give up hope, Lee weaves together several threads of evidence that reveal the terrifying reason the woman was executed and the identity of her assailant. The killer has been within their sight the entire time…and now has one of Lee’s colleagues within the crosshairs.
#4 – Murder Becomes Macau
The head of Macau’s largest gaming empire, Jocelyn Cheng, collapses and dies on the floor of one of the major casinos she oversees. Her murder comes as a shock, as she was one of the area’s most influential executives and generous philanthropists.
The shock turns to fear, however, when the local police find a chilling note inside the executive’s purse: a warning from The Organization (now going by ‘O’) that indicates they killed Cheng and are about to launch a grisly scheme that will upend the freedoms of everyone across Asia.
Once again, Dalton Lee and his team of architect/detectives are called in to work with the local authorities to determine who poisoned the casino executive and how she was embroiled with the terrorist cult.
Piquing Lee’s curiosity: the casino executive’s office suite has been reconfigured into an arrangement far from the principles of feng shui she adhered to. Also eerie: the conflicting testimonies of a server in the casino, the executive’s former assistant, her bitter younger sister and a mysterious blonde who sent the casino executive a perfect martini right before her fatal collapse.
A snake charmer, a peculiar street urchin, a frightening message in the sky and an abandoned village outside Hong Kong all add to the suspense surrounding ‘O’s campaign of terror. Unfortunately, it’s right when Lee determines who within Jocelyn Cheng’s inner circle was the murderer in hiding that the cult unleashes its terrifying scheme.
Murder Becomes Macau mixes clandestine meetings in a haunted mansion and otherworldly voices in the cities’ side streets to create a stunning work of mayhem and mystery set amid the spectacular architecture found in Macau and Hong Kong.
