Overview: Maquel A. Jacob (MAJ), is a writer of Gender Shifter Social Sci-Fi with a bit of romance, a touch of gore and much more. Growing up on B rated horror flicks, Star Wars and Harlequin books gave her the idea to blend genres; keeping things more interesting. At the tender age of twelve, she encountered her first Stephen King novel, then moved on to the darker stuff: Clive Barker.
Originally from the Windy City of Chicago, MAJ has been to half the United States, mostly by bus and train. She looks forward to seeing the rest before delving into foreign countries. Writing was always an escape from the harsh streets of the inner city and served her well.
There was a two year stint at The Art Institute studying digital film and video and cosmetology school where she became a certified nail technician. Her passion stems from always wanting to learn new things, because knowledge is power. Words can hold so much meaning and convey the wide spectrum of humanity.

#1 – Origins
During a brutal space battle, Captain Darnizva of the planet Karysilan’s League, decides to flee the front lines with twelve ships in tow by jumping through a vortex based off random coordinates. Half of them crash land on Earth, resulting in a new evolution of mankind when the aliens interbreed with humans.
Adding insult to injury, the enemy has tracked them down to finish the fight. Not caring about the impact it may have on Earth. Darnizva is put in an awkward situation to negotiate. The enemy’s General Tartha proposes a timeline of fifty years for Earth to advance in preparation for defending itself.Now, Darnizva must try to convince humans to unite as one race but every faction of authority seems to sabotage his efforts. He begins to witness the ugly side of humanity; prejudice, bigotry, hatred and greed. Is Earth worth saving? Will offering humanity a helping hand be all in vain? Hope for survival dwindles as the clock ticks towards annihilation.
#2 – Shadowmen Objective
After the alien enemy’s general gives mankind a timeline to prepare for war, two leaders from the United States and Japan brainstorm a resolution to level the playing field. They create the Shadow Organization with the help of underground intelligence networks and four alien warriors as trainers. Despite being Earth’s best kept secret, it becomes a pillar of strength.
But, the inside is rotten, built on prejudice and weak laws towards the hybrid offspring. The alien warriors also appear to have ulterior motives for helping mankind. The two leaders start to ask themselves if they were more optimistic than realistic in their endeavors.Will the organization straighten itself out and thrive as a beacon of hope for humanity? Time is not on our side.
#3 – Purge Sequence
The Bi-Genetic population is in jeopardy of depletion, throwing a monkey wrench in the war efforts. To combat the epidemic, Hana joins forces with the Shadow Organization’s top recruiter and some shady government contractors. A grid community is formed where parents are given an incentive for keeping their Bi-Genetic children. It proves to be a lost cause as an underground market emerges around the privilege, leaving Hana no choice but to initiate a new plan; a massive purge.
Hana puts it all in the hands of the facilities leaders to complete the deed but can he really turn a blind eye against the carnage to come? And once the purge is done, will humanity get back on track in time for the impending war? Earth may be headed for destruction after all.
#4 – Crippled Earth
Book four in the curve series finds humanityn dropping the ball on preparing for the impending battle with the Relliance. Darnizva startst o wonder if all the work his race has done for Earth was all for nothing. By the time humans get their ducks in a row it will be too late. Earth’s fate is to become a ball of wastelands.
