His name is Taylor McFadden, survivor of 83 trips into the ZOO. Now, he’s retired, and yet his country needs his skills to save people in the country he calls home. Taylor McFadden is in a military hospital recovering, and Niki is on the warpath, with Jennie visiting him in the hospital. Will Taylor live through an operation in which a helicopter dropped on him only to die when Niki gets hold of him? Further, he has decided to have the final word with the crime lord attacking his people. You know, his friends? Like…Vickie?
The phone rang, and the young woman picked it up. "Hello, McFadden’s Mechs. This is Victoria.
She listened to the man on the other end of the line. "That’s right, my name is Victoria. Soon to be Queen Bitch Victoria if you don’t stop snorting testosterone before you call me."
Bobby looked up from the combat mech he had been tasked to work on and focused his attention on Vickie, who had leaned back in her office chair. She propped her feet on the desk and pressed the phone to her ear. It was going to be one of those days, Bobby thought.
The only person Niki might be more upset with is anyone who attacks her family. Now, she has one other person who ranks higher than Taylor on her shit list. Will she support Taylor when he decides to go for the guy at the top?
5. Mc’Mercs
Niki is willing to do anything to protect her family. This time, she might have gone too far.
In Italy, she got the job done, or did she? Her boss is asking pointed questions. Taylor has a new challenge with someone looking into his business, and this time it’s a feisty reporter from a Cryptid-Inquirer magazine.
Will she upset the balance between Marino and McFadden? Or will she uncover the whole truth and put it out for everyone to see? Will she even live to type up a report? Both Taylor and Niki are in hot water, but for different reasons.
Taylor works to keep his business functioning, his employees safe, and wondering if he is going to be able to launder a few million in cash with a reporter sniffing around. A reporter that looks eerily similar to a certain FBI agent.
For Taylor McFadden, his future is now caught between one woman he knows he should stay away from, and another that might just send him off the deep end if he doesn’t.
6. This is B.S.
Taylor McFadden is willing to go against any monster thrown at him. But something Niki threw at him has got him off his game.
Niki must build a consultant team to figure out if she has a problem with another company. But, will Dr. Salinger Jacobs of Heavy Metal take her call? Does she have the clout to get him to believe her if he picks up the phone?
There is a hot-potato new hire at McFadden’s Mechs, and NO ONE wants to ‘fess up to Niki. Not the new-hire, not Taylor, and certainly not the computer-hacker cousin who was guilty of it in the first place. Will Vickie overcome her cousin’s focus and help the company out in the process of helping herself change jobs?
For Taylor McFadden, life is full of dangerous complications. The rest of his problems have to do with alien monsters wanting to eat him.
7. Learn to Live
Niki Banks and her team from the DOD need Taylor’s help, but he isn’t at home. He is in New Orleans with her cousin, which has Niki more than a little curious. She needs to stop a potentially catastrophic release of cryptids into the Louisiana biome. But will Taylor be in jail by the time she arrives?
If he isn’t in jail, will he have committed yet another major heist to get even with those who have attacked him? Taylor and Niki need to stop dancing around their attraction. At least, if anyone in Taylor’s group has a say in the matter.
Back in Vegas, certain individuals want Taylor to come and have a talk. But he’s "out of town." Unfortunately, they treated Taylor’s employees disrespectfully. Will they come along quietly, or will Taylor be pushed into a fight he doesn’t want? If he decides he wants the fight, will Niki be ok with it?
