Criminal Shorts (1992) Canadian Crime Writers Anthology by Eric Wright, Howard Engel (ed. Sun77)
Requirements: ePUB reader, 0.6 Mb
Overview: The present collection contains familiar names as well as new ones, and we would like to think that it represents fairly both the range of writers currently practising in Canada and the variety of fiction they are writing. Not all the stories are about a murder: there are equal helpings of blood and guile. Under the heading of crime, one or two of these stories deal with matters dark enough to be called horrible; at the other extreme, one at least is a very funny caper story. There is realism here, and comedy, fantasy and irony (a lot of irony). In short, to use an early suggestion for the title of the collection, what you will find here is murder and other entertainments.
