Cops in Love Series by B.L. Wilson (Books #1, #2, #3 & #5)
Requirements: ePUB / MOBI Reader, 9,3 MB
Overview: B.L. has always been in love with books and the words in them. She never thought she could create something with the words she knew. When she read ‘To Kill A Mocking Bird,’ she realized everyday experiences could be written about in a powerful, memorable way. She wasn’t quite sure what to do with that knowledge so she kept on reading.
She wrote a workplace memoir based on the people she met during her 20 years as a property manager of city-owned buildings. Writing the memoir, led her to consider writing books that were not job-related. Once again, she did…producing romance novels with African American lesbians as main characters. She wrote the novels because she couldn’t find stories that matched who she wanted to read about …over forty, African American and female.
Genre: Romance, FF, Lesbian, LGBT

Old Man Peterson (#1): Old Man Peterson is a story of revenge and retribution inside one African American family. The Peterson-Kennedy clan had everything. They were wealthy and powerful. Patriarch, Hiram Kennedy helped several mayors, judges and district attorneys earn their positions in life. His niece, Jannita Peterson-Davis, was a playgirl who spent her time bouncing from one woman’s bed to another and just having fun. His sister-in-law Miss Ina, was losing her memory but so what, she was almost eighty-years old.
The clan was untouchable until a plumber discovered sixty-year-old bones buried in Miss Ina’s bathroom wall and all hell broke loose. The family’s nice little world turned upside down when Lieutenant Abigaile Truman reported the bones belonged Miss Ina’s murdered husband, Hiram’s half brother Bernard Peterson. What else is wrong with the Peterson-Kennedy family portrait? What other family secrets will the lieutenant uncover during her murder investigation?

Armed But Not Dangerous, to Love (#2): A doctor, Dionne Harris, falls for a seemingly indifferent homicide detective, Ashley Williams. After they sleep together, Dionne discovers the detective works for her brother, who is the police lieutenant. Dionne, who has broken several years of celibacy due to a relationship gone bad to sleep with the detective, wants a relationship with her. Unfortunately, Ashley’s motto is love ‘em and then leave ‘em, especially since she’s on a personal crusade to clear a bottom drawer case – a child kidnapping case that went cold years ago. Their major opposing viewpoints should end the relationship, but they don’t.
Will the two women work out their differences and become a couple? Will Dionne’s family stop interfering with their budding romance and let it happen? Will Ashley’s inability to solve her cold case cause a rift between Dionne and her, causing Ashley to lose all she has worked for? Will Ashley open her heart and let Dionne love her? Find out in Armed But Not Dangerous, to Love.

The Ideal Man, Is a Woman (#3): When Henry Braxton, a wealthy, womanizing, divorced Black man is brutally murdered, the primary detective, Alexia Carson, is overwhelmed with suspects. There’s the attractive younger sister who loves her brother but disagrees with his treatment of his wife and child. Then there’s his first wife, who loves the victim but can’t forgive his numerous and very public affairs during their marriage. Another suspect is his lesbian daughter who has always had a love-hate relationship with Henry. Finally, there are the six members of his company’s board that he had affairs with or insulted during their terms of office.
Most of the people in Henry Braxton’s life have the potential to be suspects. It’s up to Alexia, just coming off a nine-month medical leave from a severe back injury, and her partner, who is married her cousin, to sort out the suspects and determine who did the dastardly deed. When a budding attraction between Sarah, the victim’s sister, and Alexia develops, combined with the fact that one of the suspect board members is Alexia’s ex-lover, it is one tangled web of secrets and intrigue…

Waiting for the Good (#5): Newly promoted police sergeant Ellison Jackson literally bumps into Annabelle Leith Fletcher, a defense attorney who ripped into her ass on the witness stand six years ago. The attorney has changed somewhat from their last meeting, due in no small part to a brace on her leg from an unfortunate injury. Ellison finds Annabelle very attractive and asks her to lunch. Unfortunately, the restaurant they choose is under siege by two incompetent robbers. The sergeant is shot and rushed to the hospital.
Through a series of misunderstandings, Annabelle is mistaken for a serious love interest of the sergeant, and her supervisors ask Annabelle to take care of Ellison’s two nephews and their assorted pets until a relative can be found to step in. She is also, along with her grandmother, enlisted to take care of an uncooperative Ellison as she recuperates from her injury. To make matters more difficult, an unexpected blast from Annabelle’s past shows up on her doorstep.
Can Annabelle rise to the occasion and deal with the assorted personalities invading her home? Will the attraction between Ellison and Annabelle come to fruition? Find out in Waiting for the Good, already had the bad.
