Overview: I’m Stephen Hadley. I write dark Fantasy/Sci-Fi novels that deal with non-traditional subject matter: Harems, anti-heroes, and twisted desires. They’re the sort of stories that fascinate me as a reader and I hope you enjoy them too! I also write short, erotic fiction under the name S.L. Hadley.

A prequel trilogy set hundreds of years before the events of the Master of Monsters series.

1. Ambassador
Humanity’s grasp on the Isles is tenuous at best. Its governors and generals fight for control of scattered domains, elven warlords harass the unprotected frontiers, and far deadlier threats prowl the unexplored edges of the map. Elias Ansiri wants nothing to do with any of it. But, in a desperate bid to salvage his reputation, he agrees to a position as ambassador to the distant elven capital. His official job is to prevent a war. Unfortunately, with warmongers and ambitious nobles on both sides, his plans might be foiled before he’s even begun.

2. Renegade
Elias Ansiri’s mission to avert a war was never likely to succeed. Unfortunately for the young ambassador, that doesn’t make the sting of failure any easier to bear. Tereus’ unexpected invasion might have been repelled, but the elven war is far from over. Faced with the prospect of another decades-long struggle, Elias returns to the work he knows best: evading capture and acquiring allies. The Isles are filled to the brim with grudges and ambition, after all. And for a renegade ambassador with few friends and fewer options, three feet of sharpened steel is the most valuable commodity of all.

3. Usurper
Elias Ansiri failed to prevent a war. When that happened, he swore not to let the coming battles change him. He failed at that, too. The war against Tereus rages on, swift and bloody. A year ago, assassination and cold-blooded betrayal would have been unthinkable. But, compared to tens of thousands of lives, how much can one man’s morals really matter? And yet, even once the war concludes, the difficult choices continue. And Elias’ choices, even the insignificant ones, just might shape the Isles for centuries to come.
