Computers Broad & Shallow by Benjamin Crysup
Requirements: .PDF reader, 28.0 MB
Overview: This book provides an overview of computer science: how computers work, how they are programmed, and how you might go about doing anything useful with them. Essentially, an introduction to “how to computer.” This book is written so that anyone can read it and get something out of it. I can’t promise you’ll learn anything (that’s on you), but I have done my best to make this book broad (cover a little bit of everything), direct (keeping things short and to the point by focusing on the critical path) and entertaining (why use a dull, insipid example when you could have examples with airplanes, mafia finance and nuclear engineering).
