Overview: Raylyn Moore was born on January 5, 1928, as Raylyn Thyrza Perrey, in Waynesville, Ohio. She was married to Ward Moore. She began publishing with “Death is a Woman” for the April 1954 issue of Esquire. From 1970 to 1983, Moore published twenty-nine science fiction stories; predominantly for The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. Her one novel, What Happened to Emily Goode after the Great Exhibition, is about the Great Exhibition of 1876 being in Philadelphia, which the protagonist visits by time travel.
Moore also published a nonfiction book, Wonderful Wizard Marvelous Land, about the Wizard of Oz books.
Raylyn Moore died on February 27, 2005 in Pacific Grove, California.
