1. The Academy
“We hold the future in our hands. We strive against the darkness. We carry the hopes of all.”
In the darkness, with firelight dancing over thirty young people standing in a line, these words rang out in one voice, one single and strong anthem. These were the words of their faith.
Era Rae believed in these words. She believed in the Restored Society and Colony 41. Even more so now that she was about to graduate into the Eccoliculum, the next level of her Academy education, on course to become an Enforcer.
She would be one of the people responsible for holding society together. Responsible for making sure the laws and the ideals of the Restored Society weren’t being violated. After the chaos of the Event, the Enforcers were what kept the world safe for the good people. That was her goal.
But in one moment everything changed. Her good friend was injured and whisked away by two Enforcers and from that moment Era’s life began to crumble. Nothing was ever the same again. Everything that she had believed to be true and held dear to her heart were found to be illusions that were well and truly shattered.
2. Into the Outlands
Battered and bruised after escaping from Colony 41, Era Rae recuperates in the small village of Refuge where a peaceful race of people mind their own business and work the land to survive.
Nursed back to health by the distracting Jadren, Era slowly gains her strength back.
But nothing good lasts forever. There is a mole inside the village that has decided to return Era to the Restored Society and in doing so all Hell breaks loose.
3. Broken City
Having barely escaped with their lives from the Enforcers who destroyed Refuge, Era, Jadren and Laria journey to the broken city.
Once there, they head underground to the safety of the ‘Caves’ where they plan to gather together any supplies and weapons that are of any use to them. What they don’t realize is that there is one very large flaw in their plan – The Children of the Event!

4. Enemy of my Enemy
Once again barely escaping with their lives after facing off with the Children of the Event, Era, Jadren, and Laria are running for their lives. Heading for the relative safety of the Freeman camp.
But as so often happens in Era’s life, things don’t turn out quite the way she expected. She finds that she has swapped one dire situation for another.
And when she spies her beloved Saskia’s face among the sea of Enforcer’s faces that have gathered outside of the walls of the Freeman camp she puts herself in danger once again trying to save her friend.
5. Shadows of Shadows
After the devastating skirmish at the Freeman camp Era, Jadren, and Laria head further into the Outlands in search of the Restored Society’s genetic facility.
There’s no evidence of life as they move further out. No birds, no animals, no insects even in this desolate wasteland.
The Event burned the world. Literally, with nuclear fire.
Perhaps they were wrong. Perhaps the Society had nothing out this far after all. Exhausted and a little defeated the trio pause to regroup.
Things change in an instant when one of them disappears into a sinkhole along with their meager supplies.
Not sure what awaits them down the hole the remaining two have no choice but to follow. Who knows what awaits them in the darkness below.
6. Revelations
In the exciting conclusion of Colony 41 Era and Jadren finally, discover what the secret is that the Restored Society has been keeping from the world. But are they really ready for it? Is the world ready for it?
