When he awakens, he finds that he has not slept only for a decade, awaiting a cure, but has instead been lost beneath the ground in his cryogenic chamber for centuries. Now, a corrupt government seeks to steal his secrets and enslave him.
2. The Crime Lords of Mars: The Drone War is over, and as things slowly return to normal on Earth, Lazarus and his allies must head to Mars to face the rigors of the red planet and its dangerous inhabitants. Once they arrive they will have a double burden. They need to find Lazarus’s wife Brenna, who has been abducted by the criminal gangs who operate with impunity on the wild, ungoverned planet. They will also seek out the mysterious Black Ship, their only link to the inimical Symposium, which was responsible for instigating the conflict which the people of Earth have just emerged from. Meanwhile, back on Earth, an old enemy of Lazarus has inherited the ill gotten wealth left behind by the Symposium when they disappeared, and he is using it to attain his monomaniacal goals.
