2. Ardent
The Wanderers could see the future: civil war and destruction. They could change it.
The Circle has chosen a new King for Frankis, and is now bent on completing the destruction of Codrin and Jara’s family. For Dochia, the Fourth Light of the Wanderers, the Circle’s choice is a terrible mistake, but there is no way to change its decision.
Before her death, the First Light of the Wanderers foresees a Fracture, which will destroy the kingdoms born from the remnants of the Alban empire; only a Seer can heal it and restore peace and order.
On the eastern steppes, the Sect of the Serpent God, born at the precession of the equinoxes, is getting ready to conquer the world. Lost knowledge and artifacts from the old Talant Empire are resurfacing.
Everything falls on Codrin’s shoulders, but can he avert the coming disaster? And is he the Seer the First Light foresaw?
3. Ascendant
After Mohor’s death, Jara’s family is split up. She is sent to Arad with Vio, both Orban’s prisoners. Saliné is kept in Severin, in Aron’s hands.
Dochia is sent to infiltrate the Serpentist Sect, and she will not return to Frankis for some time.
The Circle and the Wanderers recruit the Duke of Peyris and the Duke of Tolosa to destroy Codrin, who has found refuge in Poenari. Armies from all over Frankis gather under the walls of Poenari to lay siege, and chaos may be the only victor.
4. Respectant
The Circle has betrayed Codrin, helping Aron to escape Severin like a thief, and Saliné is now his captive.
All the Wanderer Hives now know what the Fracture will bring to the continent: a new nomad invasion led by Baraki, the Seer of the Serpent, and the man who killed Codrin’s family. They will be aided by Meriaduk, the High Serpentist Priest, who is able to command the Talant artifacts: tools that allow communication at a distance, and weapons that kill through the strongest armor.
As predicted by Ada, the most powerful Wanderer, Dochia has finally arrived in the Sanctuary of Nerval and met the mysterious, invisible woman named Ai.
While Codrin, the new Seer of Fate, tries to free Saliné and unify the Frankis Kingdom, Dochia is on a mission to close the Sanctuary. It is a long journey, filled with danger and no promise of success.
