I never win anything, but as luck would have it, I won a week-long stay in a cozy cabin in Tinsel, CA for the week of Christmas. I leap at the chance to escape from a torturous family holiday and spend Christmas alone.
My assistant thinks I’m in a rut and need to try new things. And new people, especially of the male variety. She bets me that I can’t step outside of my comfort zone and take a chance. To prove her wrong and win the bet, I agree to say yes to any invitation that comes my way in Tinsel. Lucky for me, I’ll be in a secluded cabin all by myself for the entire week.

I’m known as the most ineligible bachelor in Tinsel. I like to have fun, as long as there is an expiration date on the relationship. Living in a tourist town offers ample opportunity for no strings attached fun. And when a smoking hot older woman rents the cabin next door, I send a silent thanks to Santa for the perfect holiday gift.
Lauren is hung up on our age difference, but I don’t care. What can I say? She does it for me. And despite her protests that we can’t date, she says yes to every invitation I offer. Snowshoeing, holiday strolls, volunteering at the children’s hospital holiday party—she agrees to it all.
I’m beginning to think she is incapable of saying no to me. And when I test out my theory in the bedroom, the sparks really begin to fly. It’s a very Merry Christmas for both of us.
