China and the World: The Long March Towards a Community of Shared Future for Mankind, Vol. 3: Culture, Ideas, and Art by David Gosset
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 15 mb
Overview: With this publication, "China and the World" becomes a triptych. The first volume, published in 2020, examined relations between China and the world through the lens of international relations. China’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001 had a profound impact on the global economy. Volume one considered economic matters, however, more recent developments have made an in-depth analysis necessary. Among them is the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) that was signed in November of 2020, the largest trade bloc ever created. Therefore, the role of business and the figure of the entrepreneur became critical themes in volume two, published 2021. Whether from the angle of international relations or from the perspective of economic changes, mutual understanding was a recurring theme. The idea of preparing a new volume focusing on cultural aspects grew out of this notion. In "China and the World", culture comes chronologically after political sciences and economy. However, one should be aware that this is the most fundamental element in the articulation between the Chinese civilization and the other regions of our planet.
