Overview: Centurion Series is a historical fiction trilogy about the 1st-century Roman Empire. Set primarily in Roman Britain/Germania, it follows the adventures of a pair of Roman brothers – one free-born and one slave-born – as they serve in the Roman legions.
Its author, Damion Hunter, is a pseudonym of author Amanda Cockrell. She recently received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in fiction. She holds a master’s degree in creative writing from Hollins College and is currently the director of the Hollins graduate program in children’s literature and managing editor of "The Hollins Critic." She lives in Virginia.
