Overview: Born in Lincolnshire, married with two allegedly adult children I now live in the North East of England. After a six-year stint in the army I joined the police before retiring and worked at a local university for a few years.
Apart from writing, I enjoy cycling and reading but my main passion is walking, predominantly around the wonderful scenic countryside of Northumberland, Durham and all along the coast between Budle Bay and Craster.
I love tapping away at the keyboard, to lose myself in a story, using my imagination or digging into my life experiences to add some authenticity.
My first three novels were Roman fiction but I’m now looking forward to the challenge of trying my hand at crime and murder mystery.
I hope to grip your interest and make you laugh or cry, draw you into the book to feel as though you are one of the characters.

Alexander’s Journey is the prequel to the Celtic Son series.
After the death of his father fighting for the Emperor somewhere abroad, Alexander is befriended by a retired Centurion from the newly formed Urban Cohort in Rome. Titus helps Alexander to enlist in the legion where he finds new friends, and enemies.
This is his journey into the Imperial Army and his successful career fighting in Gaul, but it’s not just the barbarians who he has to watch out for.
