Over the course of a year, they saw each other when they could, emailed and talked on the phone when time allowed, and their friendship and attraction to each other grew. Michelle took a job with the State and began a friendship with a young woman whose love for her husband and son had destroyed her when they died.
When Michelle watches another rider break his neck and die, she lets her fear of losing Tyler send him away. When he doesn’t stay and fight for her, and then tragedy takes the life of her client, Michelle loses her faith and starts to question God’s mercy.
She runs home, heartbroken and faithless, much to the amazement and concern of her family and friends. When Tyler realizes he made a huge mistake where Michelle was concerned, he comes after her.
