Overview: I am an author with a wide range of reading interests. This carries over to my writing. I usually end up reading science fiction and fantasy but have a love for Noir detective films and tropes. My first series, The Axton Wise Novellas, is a mix of the science fiction and Noir that I love. I am also writing LitRPG based on tabletop roleplaying games such as Dungeons & Dragons. When I am not writing I am usually at work as an archaeologist or drawing maps for roleplaying games and for fantasy worlds.

Shattered City (#1)
Roland never wanted to be in the Army. He didn’t want to be penniless either. The Army wanted him though.
Roland Mellors couldn’t find work. The second industrial revolution had left anyone without high-level qualifications poor and unemployed. When he tries to get just one beer to drown his sorrows he ends up in a recruitment office with an offer he can’t refuse.
Roland tries to fit in within the army. That army has decided to use a full immersion virtual reality game to fight its wars. He enters the game world to fight and work off his new contract. Will Roland survive in this virtual world of war or will he suffer for his entire career?
Fractured Desert (#2)
Roland starts to realise he hasn’t been told everything that he needs to know. It is the army after all. There came a point where letting your troops know who they were actually fighting should be need to know for everyone. At least in Roland’s mind.
Join Roland and the rest of 3rd squad as they try to fight their way out of the glitches the rebels have been causing. Glitches that will change the game forever. As they try to find out more about the modified game system that the army are using they encounter the intelligence division who have answers for their questions.
They get answers. Those answers lead to more questions. Questions they won’t have answered without breaking some rules and fighting their own intelligence division.
