Overview: In a world where people are unable to see certain colors in their lives, they are searching for that soulmate that will unlock that color to make their life complete. Among them, there are those called Fragments, nuisance for all society who cannot see multiple colors, and thus are searching for multiple soulmates to complete their view. If they cannot find their soulmates by the age of 30, they will be condemned to death. It’s a situation that is disturbing and leaves the world in fear.
One such Fragment is twenty-one year old Rose Thomas, art student who works part time at the art museum’s gift shop. Her free time is often spent working on her ongoing comic book, Chasing Roy G. Biv. Born a Fragment who can only see the basic colors (black, white, gray, and brown) and pink, being an artist is tough. Despite this, she manages to get work done and has a great appreciation of all art. Suddenly, she begins to connect with seven other people: professional thief Victor, local baker Gracie, budding journalist Ravi, figure skating champion Michiru, police detective Christian, famous musician Evie, and basketball player turned rock start Greg. Incredibly shy and withdrawn, Rose hasn’t thought about going after her soulmates until now. She is starting to feel the pulls. She knows they are close by. She has never connected with one person.
