Skald (#1)
Governing the far eastern territory of his country, Fitzeirick does his best to keep his people safe. Vicious raids along the southern border force him to appear before the ruling council for aid. Instead of helping, his half-brother’s deceit has him branded a traitor before tossing him into a secret dungeon. Thanks to the criminals imprisoned with him, ‘kill or be killed’ is his way of life until he can find a way out.

Unsure of who remains loyal to him, given the mark he carries, Fitzeirick flees to his mother’s homeland. Can he reunite with his friends and avoid capture along the way? Armed with only his innate magic and a dull, ceremonial sword, he travels north wary of the welcome he may receive. If he can reach the safety of Varia, will they help him save his people? Is he willing to pay the price?

King (#2)
Taking a crown is easy. Wearing a crown is hard.

Ruling a nation is challenging, even in the best of times. Fitzeirick expected some resistance when he killed his half-brother, dissolved the Council of Thanes, and declared himself King of Croy. Still, he never planned for what lay ahead: Uprisings led by Satran agents, flagrant disrespect from generals in his army, corrupt sergeants stealing from local merchants, and an assassination attempt. It’s hard to plan a war when you can’t get everyone to even agree on who really is the enemy, even when foreign soldiers launch attacks from the central forest. Sometimes it feels like the only people on his side are the men who make up his guard and Tindra, but she has her own challenge to overcome.

How does Fitzeirick stop the riots without spilling more blood? How does he convince everyone Satra continues to be a threat? And what does the mysterious merchant guild leader really want in exchange for his generous gift?

Conqueror (#3)
Croy’s army pushed the Satran invaders back inside their own borders.

King Fitzeirick swore to eliminate the hated nation and is eager to lead his army to victory, but first, he must escort a good friend Varia and meet with King Crum.

On the way, Fitzeirick find the site of his former hall and later receives puzzling information, from a disturbing source.

Visiting his lifelong best friend, he hears good news; Crum will soon be a father!

Traveling south, to the border with Satra, brings more mystery and an unexpected meeting with a potential ally, providing more strange information but no real answers.

Despite losing a key leader soon after Fitzeirick arrives at the border, he insists on continuing the war. After all, he has questions and it seems all the answers are waiting in a foreign land.

It is possible not everything Fitzeirick believes about Satra, and his situation, is true? Were the the warring nations once allies? Who will win the war between Croy and Satra?

Ride along with King Fitzeirick to face unexpected obstacles, negotiate with those he suspects are plotting against him, and form a plan to emerge a victor all while trying to just survive.
