Growing up in an orphan colony, Terra Mullins has experienced adversity and hardship. She has learned to face life’s challenges by managing her emotions with physicality. She has learned to follow her intuition more so than the mental replay of societal definitions which state that she is somehow less than human. Instead of climbing to the top, Terra has leapt. How bad could the fall be, when you started at the bottom? But instead of falling Terra finds herself in a position held by no other woman of her time. There is no logical explanation for the abilities of the woman Bossman. Gyre finds himself strangely drawn to her across the vastness of deep space. He must learn the secret of her abilities to maneuver the giant bots he created. In the past, Gyre has always used his superior intellect to move himself from one success to the next. Privileged in his position within the Alliance, Gyre has never had to choose sides or experience conflict. But now that he has found his life mate, Gyre’s allegiances are put to the test and he finds he must follow his heart to survive.
