Born of the Sun: A Novel of Human Origins by Peter Munford
Requirements: .ePUB and/or .AZW3 Reader, 635KB
Overview: In the manner of William Golding’s The Inheritors, Born of the Sun is a novel that asks how our earliest ancestors lived.
They had to fight to understand the world, themselves and each other. They discovered things we think have always been known. Born of the Sun tells the story of one group of very early humans struggling to work out how to live in changing circumstances, with new challenges every day, and nothing to rely on but what they have in themselves. Every new threat needs a new plan, or even a new word.
When the river they depend on runs dry, the group have to set out to find a new place to live. It is a difficult and uncertain time, and some people manage better than others. New situations bring new challenges, and as one woman makes an important and unsettling discovery about how they have all been surviving, conflict breaks out.
